In the morning we went to Liard Hotsprings Provincial Park to bathe in the hotsprings. This is a favorite stopping off spot for travelers along the highway. On the way up to the hotsprings, we were held up at the Liard River Bridge by construction. Traffic alternates between north and south bound and it is approximately a 15 minute cycle. While waiting for our turn, a small herd of buffalo decided it was time to cross the road and they did so as though they were oblivious to the many people who jumped out of their vehicles to take pictures. By the time it was our turn to move on, the herd disappeared into the woods.

On the return trip, we stopped at Mineral Licks viewpoint in Muncho Lake Provincial Park. The view point gives a great view of the Trout River valley.
