Chile - Peru 2009

Commentary

We are off again to Santiago Chile. This time for the wedding of our cousin Avital to Jonathan. It is going to be the first time all the cousins on my mother's side of the family are going to be together in Chile (our first and last gathering in the US was in 2003). Since the US cousins are arriving at different times, our plans are fluid (another way of saying we don't have any plans). Most likely we will stay in the Santiago area and possible range as far as Valparaiso.

Following the wedding, the Chilean and US cousins will be heading to Cusco, Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. This area was the center of the Inca culture and is still highly influenced by the empire that was wiped out by the Spaniards hundreds of years ago.

At this point, I think that I may not be able to post commentary or edit pictures while "on the road." On the first week, we will be spending time with family and limiting our travel to locations we visited and photographed before so I may not have much to say. The Peru trip involves a lot of touring during the day and evenings with our family and I may not have time to edit the day's photos and write the commentary.
